Comment:
I bought this when it was on sale at CVS. I like the LaRoche-Posay skincare line. They make a great eye creme with SPF 15; a rarity. Although I like the fact Anthelios isn't too greasy, odor free, dries matte, and great to use everyday, I think it's too expensive.

The New York Times reviewed this years ago as being the ONLY suncream offering UVA protection, with its brand new ingredient, Mellaril. At the time you had to buy it in Europe or from special pharmacies that imported it, hence it was expensive - still is, so I'm happy cheaper sun lotions have been confirmed by Consumer Reports to be UVA blockers. There is a less shiny version of this sun block for the face that comes in white or tinted, and the white does make you look just a bit ghostly. I prefer the regular all purpose version, which suffices as both skin cream and sun block for sweaty faces, and does not leave you whitish. Just a warning - a version I found in a cheap drugstore was absolutely worthless - maybe because it was rated 15, maybe because it wasn't the real thing. My tube that is the best sun screen I've ever used states manufactured in France and is rated 50+ and I LOVE it. Good for wearing around town on exposed skin when you're dressed nicely. For the beach, would definitely recommend something more water resistant, and cheaper!
