Comment:
When it is new, it's great. But I've gone through 4 new units and 8 brush heads. Tends to breakdown quickly, after 6-8 months. Needs to be more durable.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have been using a sonicare tootbrush for years. Yes the brush heads are a little expensive but so is gum therapy. The last one I bought was the flexcare with the uv sanitizer. I usually purchase a new one every two years. The battery life is long enough to take on a two week vacation, brush two times a day and not have to charge.

Worth the price, and better than the previous model

Strength
Love the travel charger and bag, teeth feel great after cleaning, two modes for cleaning
Weakness
High cost, only comes with one brush head provided
I've had this brush for over a week now and so far am very pleased with the new Sonicare's performance. I had an older model that worked for 3 years before it finally died, so I decided to stick with this brand. I love that this one is easier to clean (the old one got gunky in the area between the brush head and the handle... ew). I wipe it off with water and it's good to go! I appreciate the two cleaning modes and have been using the Max mode, which runs for 3 minutes and switches between massaging and brushing. My teeth have never felt cleaner! Combined with daily flossing, this should be a great system for improved dental hygiene!
