About This Brand

Its expensive line of proprietary foam bedding ranges in price from $1,200 for the OriginalBed (queen) to $6,000 for the GrandBed. Bought this bed and tried if for about 3 months. It was just too warm for us. We took it back and the store recommended a different brand (Sealy) that has special air chambers to reduce heat - it works!

Comment:
Feels wonderfully alien when you compare it with an older model spring mattress. ALERT > Please READ.....I spent months researching my options and discovered that when buying any memory foam mattress you have to read the mattress specs carefully. I have seen a mattress advertised as a 16in memory foam mattress when it is actually only 3in of memory foam and the remaining 13in are another kind of foam...read the details before you buy.....consumer beware.

Comment:
We have 2 different Tempurpedic mattresses. They seem to last forever. One is a low end model and the other is the new firmer foam. The reason I am writing this review is because Temperpedic does not recommend use of a mattress pad because body warmth is supposed to make it conform to your body, but we have found that using a mattress pad is an easy way to make it feel firmer which we prefer. If you have an adjustable bed (motorized to go up and down) Tempurpedic is the best mattress to use on it.
