5.0
Better than the Kohler Crappers
3/1/2015
Pros
Flushes Every Time
Quiet
Cons
Plain Not Fancy
Best Uses
Comment:
For some reason the local plumbing supply would not get the Gerber toilet for me, I was forced to drive 60 miles to pick it up. The trip was worth it, the Gerber greatly outperforms the problematic Kohler toilet that cost so much more. It also comes in the rough in size for my old house, not all toilets do. I installed it myself, fairly easily.

Toilet problem or plumber problem?
2/19/2015
Pros
Uses less water
Cons
Can't Be Unclogged Easily
Clogs
Best Uses
Comment:
Although purported to move solids well, our Gerber has clogged several times. Our high water using toilets also clog frequently but they can be unclogged with a large plunger. This isn't the case with the Gerber, nor does it get unclogged from sitting for a while, even several days. To say having it in the guest bathroom was a mistake is putting it mildly.

But the comment from one reviewer about having a more knowledgable plumber install the toilet correctly makes be wonder if that's our problem. Do you have any information about good and bad installation that could affect the toilet's performance?
