Great Product, Ignore the CR "Noise" Rating
Flush With Low Noise
May Need To Adjust Float
We also went to Lowes to buy and American Standard product based on the CR reports, but wanted the Bisque color. Got this one on sale for about $229 versus over $400 for the color in American Standard.

Easy installation, except for the part about adjusting the float, but Kohler has a good online video explaining how to do that.

I concur with previous rater that this is a quiet unit, especially after replacing the previous construction-grade toilet that came with our house. It is one of the quietest I've seen, especially at this price point.

It is the elongated bowl, which has its advantages, but also sticks out into the room a bit farther. Excellent flush power, never a clog. Saw where a previous reviewer complained about this, but it might be because the unit isn't set up correctly. I concur that cleaning will require a brush in the bottom of the design, but that's no big deal.

Easy to recommend.
When I bought my lake house, the first thing I did was replace the old round-bowl toilets. My son and I chose this Kohler toilet, partly because of familiarity with the Kohler name and partly because of the price point.

Installation was straight-forward (and I'm no plumber!) I was delighted to find out that the flush mechanism works superbly. I was concerned, due to a review that I had read, about the noise level. The noise level is not significant and it subsides within a second (literally) of flushing.

I have since replaced an American Standard toilet at my primary residence with the same toilet. As an added plus, its height makes it much more comfortable than the old one-piece low-profile unit I replaced.

I am completely satisfied with my purchase of these toilets.
How long have you owned it:
More than six months
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Overall pretty happy
Has Never Clogged
I've previously only bought American Standard Champion 4 toilets. Those things are great.

I bought a vacation home and wanted to replace all of the toilets. This home had an almond tubs, so I needed something not white.

For the vacation home, I wanted a tall toilet with an elongated bowl. I also needed something in stock as I didn't want to wait on a special order. The only toilet that matched these requirements was the Kohler Highline classic in bone.

I have had 2 installed since Sept 2012. So far, they've never been clogged. They work well. They aren't as loud as I had feared.
