Solid waste one flush

Pros
Solid Waste Removal
Water Saving
Cons
Best Uses
Comment:
After one year, no complaints about this toilet (purchased through and installed by a plumber). Solid waste disposal almost always requires just one flush. The design has a single flushing level (1.28g/flush), no separate flush level for liquid vs. solid waste. Cleaning is no worse than any brand. I paired this with their soft-close seat which is a nicety but not required. The actuating lever does require slightly more force than some other toilets, but this is not an issue just an observation. Thinking ahead for maintenance/repair, the flush valve and fill valve are of a fairly simple design vs. some more complex hardware you see in low-flow toilets. Overally, I'm happy with this and would buy it again.

I have purchased 3 Toto Drakes and my father two. Our previous toilets plugged frequently. In over 6 years of use our Totos have plugged maybe once or twice.

Flush Handle Broken Again

Pros
Never Clogs
Quiet
Cons
Handle Broken Again
Best Uses
Comment:
We bought 2 Toto Drakes based on the plumber Terry Love review and both developed problems with the flush handle. The plastic nuts kept slipping off. I understand that nuts and bolts come in plastic to avoid accidentally cracking the porcelain but the designers could've gotten better quality parts or designed a better lever system to flush.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
