Comment:
We chose Duraceramic because the product is thinner than most tile. That meant the baseboards would not require shaving and would be consistent with attached rooms.

Almost immediately, we noticed surface scratches and small black spots (we chose a white or light color). The spots were chips from the Duraceramic surface.

As our floor was not grouted - another selling point - the sealer specified by the manufacturer was used on all tile seams. The sealer almost immediately yellowed.

By the way, we had felt pads on all chairs and tables that come in contact with the floor surface

My recommendation is to avoid this product as it is not what the selling points indicate!

Comment:
We had Duraceramic tiles installed in our kitchen, powder rm, laundry rm and foyer. This product has been a disaster. Anything dropped mars the floor - spoons, utensils, dishes, anything. There was recently a class action suit filed against Congoleum for falsely advertising this product as durable.

Comment:
I bought Congoleum's DuraCeramic because Consumer Reports recommended this product. The color and texture looked great for about two years. Then small white patches or scratches began to appear on three tiles in a high traffic area. By high traffic I mean a place where I make my coffee and prepare food--mostly in my slippers!!! Honestly, it looks like the colorered surface on this tile is just painted on. No depth at all! I will contact Congoleum about the issue.
