Installed exactly as told at a home in the AZ desert. After 3 mos., several of the pieces pulled up at seams. Company said to use heat gun and pressure. Didn't work. 9 months later found the floor pulling up everywhere. Called Home Depot. They contacted Allure, who sent out an inspector. Report said our concrete base had too much humidity & they refused any responsibility. We said if the AZ desert is too humid, where isn't it? After a long battle, Home Depot stood behing the sale when Allure refused to help. Worst flooring we have ever had.

I have read a few of the reviews above and have to strongly disagree. If the surface you are installing it over isn't level, you might have problems with seams. Have to prep the floor, ridding it of all possible staples or screws sticking up. I had a pro install the floor, but once I saw how easy and quick the first box went down, I told him I had to give it a try myself. The trick is making sure the vertical line is the first to touch and then making sure the horizontal line comes together smoothly. I would recommend this product to others and I plan on doing more rooms with it!

Big Gaps Between Planks

Comment:
Had Allure Ultra professionally installed on my entire main floor by Home Depot 3 years ago. Waterproof sounded like the perfect floor for my dog and kids. <br />Gaps have appeared mostly in high traffic areas. up to 3/8 inch at ends of planks and narrow between planks, except for one lengthwise that is actually bad enough to catch your foot on. The click lock between the planks has not held. I now need a new floor because of an unrelated problem, but it won't be Allure Ultra. The gaps appeared after about a year. Loved not having carpet or cheap builder's sheet vinyl, but this stuff was a major disappointment.
