Comment:
My experience with this bulb is the opposite of the three other reviewers before me. The color temperature matches or comes very close to an incandescent BR30's color temp (i.e. warm yellow).

I should mention that when I first ordered these bulbs from Walmart, they sent me the wrong version. They sent the Daylight version, not the soft white version that I ordered. I briefly tested one of the Daylight bulbs to see if I would like them (and avoid the hassle of returning them). It turned out that the bulb was way too white/blue. I suspect that the other 3 reviewers bought the daylight version, not the soft white version.

After returning the daylight bulbs and receiving the correct order of soft whites, I can say that I am very satisfied with these BR30s. Their color temperature is very close to an incandescent BR30, and they are a bit brighter, which is a positive in my book.

The one negative is that they don't dim down as far as incandescents (at least using my kitchen dimmer); certainly not a huge negative in my opinion.

Assuming these last as long as I expect, they are a great buy and perform almost identically to incandescent BR30s.

We put in three of these lights in our kitchen over the sink and they are a bluish white rather than the
warm yellow you reported in you test results (Nov 14, page 51). Not acceptable !!!

I thought I'd try this as my first LED lamp. I'm disappointed. The light spectrum actually hurts my eyes. It is not diffuse. It casts shadows. Weird. I'm removing it today and buying a new incandescent lamp. The electricity savings is not worth it.
