User Reviews - Behr Premium Plus Ultra Satin Enamel (Home Depot)
We have used this product (and the Behr paint without primer) multiple times over the years and have found it to be excellent quality. We like the thick consistency and the good coverage. We have found that nothing replaces using a primer when you are covering surfaces that have not been painted in many years (in our case over 15 years) or are painting bare wood or a surface that was wallpapered. Even painters have come in and thought our walls looked really good. We have also tried Valspar and Olympic and did not like either one. They were much thinner and did not coat well with 2 coats. We once used Better Homes and Gardens (we were in a hurry and Walmart is closest to home) and that was the worst paint we have ever used.

Not worth the higher price
Finish is good
Less Coverage Area
Expected it to cover better with one coat and it took 2 coats. More economical to use 2 coats of a standard paint.

Also, very dissapointed with the coverage area making it even better to use standard paint whith will cover more area.

Have used Behr paint for years based on prior Consumer Reports info. Have always been happy with it. Used this newer Ultra with primer to paint bedroom. Got several samples, was having trouble choosing colors as were right tone, but too deep. Paint person advised me to get mixed in 25 or 50% color saturation, and even though using deep colors told me I didn't need primer. After going back to buy several gallons and applying 7 coats, went to pull tape off and paint peeled. I was very upset about the whole process. Even so, I decided to use this brand again to paint a bathroom -- similar color used as bedroom, but mixed in 100% color saturation, and covered yellow with bright green in two coats easily. Happy again with this paint. Attribute problems to incompetent employee -- not paint!
