I had this installed 3 years agoe on my home in North western Ontario. It is facing south so it gets lots of sun which is a killer up there.
My carpenter recommended it.So far it is great.

I did a complete remodel of my house, siding and windows, replacing 1930's wood siding. Living in NC there was a fair amount of water rot and old termite damage to it. I installed this instead of vinyl for three reasons 1) I can change the color down the road if I want, 2) in the south, even good quality vinyl fades over time and 3) I did not want to deal with rot and termites in the future!

You learn quickly how to handle it, after snapping a few boards by not picking them up correctly. Also the 4 trim boards are very rigid and do not bend or curve well if you are trying to make them fit into an area not square. I have a few 'tears' and cracks in the trim where I forced it to follow the line of the house. Nothing caulking and paint can't fix though.

Had it installed on my house and I love it. I had it prepainted and couldn't have been more pleased. It came with touch up paint and that it great plus the warranty with the paint. Looks like real wood. Really pleased.
