Prepared deck as instructed and got nice solid redwood finish. It held it's nice appearance for 4 years, but then I noticed fading in the areas where the sun hit it directly. Also, mold and mildew stains started appearing. At five years, I am starting to strip and re-stain. Expect the stain to look nice for 4 years, unless the deck is covered by shade.
