This product has performed well for us. Frankly my biggest complaint is that I can't seem to be able to find the oil based formula. Most places are selling a water based formula – which I am afraid to try frankly. Using this stuff is like using the old linseed oil process. It penetrates the wood. But the wood looks really really good after using this product. It literally erases greying wood. It is guaranteed for 2 years and it has stood up well in my Cincinnati climate. It's easy to slap on and looks great. Because the picnic table and cedar benches are small projects, (unlike a fence) I don't mind doing this job every couple of years.
How long have you owned it:
More than six months
Bottom Line
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Comment:
Have used this product for several years (am aware that it probably has been reformulated during that time).

It isn't really clear (but I tested it so the slight color is acceptable to me).

I WISH THAT CU WOULD INDICATE THAT MANY FACTORS contribute to the longevity of these products.

IMHO:
a) BRUSHING on the product is much better than rolling or spraying. Really!
b) The amount of traffic makes a big difference as to the longevity of the product. This makes sense but I don't get a sense of how much traffic the CU test panels get.
