Comment:
I received these knives as a service award. Best gift ever! I use them primarily for chopping meat and veggies, paring, cutting herbs. They do the job in less time and effort than any other knives I've owned. You do have to be careful. It's easy to cut yourself if you get the blades to close to a finger. They come with a sharpener. I recommend you use it regularly to maintain high performance.

Comment:
I've had this set for many years. The handles are comfortably shaped and are one piece, so no worries about water infiltration around rivets. The chef's knife is heavy enough to aid with chopping but light enough not to become painful with extended use. If washed in a dishwasher, be careful to anchor the knives securely -- one of mine slipped down onto the drying element and the handle melted!

More than six months
Bottom Line
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

These are great knives. The heavier knives keep a great edge for months at a time. Not sure if they are dishwasher safe but I've run mine for years without any discernible problems.
