Comment:
I received a gift of a set of three of these Henckels in 1985 and have used them pretty much daily for almost 30 years now. I do need to get a professional sharpening done about twice a year, but that helps keep my knives sharp enough to easily trim nose hairs.

My only caveat to add is that the user needs to pay close attention to what she or he is doing, because one could otherwise lose finger.

All in all, I wouldn't trade these knives for any other and have been more than satisfied with them for a long time now.

I am from the 'old school'...you make everything from scratch. Have always kept them in a wooden block and hand washed. Still slice a tomato without making an impression into the skin or the thinnest meat for a sandwich.

I have owned my knife set for over 15 years and they still look like new! I kept buying inexpensive knife sets over and over again until one day I saw these on sale. They were still very expensive to me at the time, until I did the math of how much money I wasting on the cheaply made brands. J.A. Henckels is the best brand out there as far as I'm concerned. I NEVER wash them in the dishwasher. Very satisfied, and would recommend them to anyone.
