About This Brand

This brand, known for its durability and dependability, went through an entire line and design change in 2007. Weber is known for its quality products in the midpriced to high-priced categories, and grills that feature coated cast-iron and stainless-steel-rod cooking grates and long-warranty stainless-steel burners. (The company offers a natural-gas version for most of its grills.) Weber recently introduced an infrared-searing station on some of its grills, updated its Q line of portable grills, and added colors to its entire lineup. Weber grills are available at many retailers nationwide. Grills range in price from $130 to $3,000. Note that Weber acquired Ducane about four years ago.

Comment:
I own several grills, smokers, etc., and prefer to cook with wood. But, I went out to find a small gas grill for those days when there just isn't time for wood and when I'm only cooking for the wife and kids. I brought home this grill and have been very pleased with it. It is more than enough space for a casual griller to make a meal for a few people. You are just wasting money on a huge grill unless you frequently grill for large groups. I am easily able to grill potatoes, vegetables, and a few steaks on this size. I would recommend getting a smaller, high quality grill like this, over a larger one with more useless features and lower quality.

Grill starts easily with electric starter and quickly gets to 600 degrees to self clean then throttle down to desired temperature. Grease trap works well.

The grill is well built for a couple or small family; easy to move; light yet durable.

Just what I was looking for.

Comment:
Bought this model and took it with us to Germany after owning a Spirit 310 in the US. We really enjoyed the performance of our old Weber but did not have a lot of space on our new balcony, so we opted to buy a new smaller Weber.

This grill worked great for indirect and direct heat cooking. Cleanup was easy, the drip tray fit in our dishwasher, and the replaceable drip pans work great.

Negatives include a small grilling area, enough for four to six people. The battery ignition never worked but they include an access hole to the burner,so we managed with an external lighter.
