Purchased this grill two years ago and here I am looking to purchase a different grill. My main beef is the uneven cooking, followed by poor construction quality. The paint on this tin can wore off within the first year so I can't tell what settings the knobs are set to.

Comment:
I bought the 463250810 model from [@]. It cooked well for a few months. It has to be covered after every use, or it begins to rust on the inside. I cooked on it almost every day, and for even cooking, it was great. For searing, not so good, it took a long time to get the cast iron grates up to temperature, and they began to rust after the porcelain flaked off in the first six months. The electric ignitor/starter faled at 2 months, but was replaced at no cost. The external powder paint markings washed off, and the panels could be replaced, but the shipping was so high, that I declined. After two years (almost), I will give the Charbroil the pitch. The promise of infra-Red cooking did not pan out(Pun intended). I ended up buying a 10 year old used Weber. With new burners and general cleaning, it is like new. It is great at slow cooking to searing. I would suggest that CU take the time to do an extended review (as in a year later) on any grill, since many of them appear to be made of low quality stainless steel or conventional steel that is thinner and just rusts away. If you like to grill, buy the higher priced product, mainly because the parts are going to last longer. The 10 year warranty on the burners was an outright marketing error, the right side burner (used most often for a small meal)rusted shut at 18 months.
