Comment:
I purchased the L8 which is the slightly larger variant of the L7. This was clearly a big ticket purchase but having been spoiled by commercial treadmills, I am very happy with the purchase.

This is a beautifully designed and built piece of equipment. As good or better than anything I have found in the gym. Solid, quiet, responsive controls.

I purchased mine with the Executive display which is the Landice top end. It is easy to use and well featured but does not have some of the cool features found in some lower cost units from NordicTrac. No internet connectivity or ability to run virtual routes from Google Maps. The sceneries are more like a person running against a fixed background. Nice display but could use a little more sizzle for the cost.

My only gripe would be the personal cooling fan which can be annoyingly loud given how smooth and quiet the rest of the unit is. Especially at high speed, the fan does not move a whole lot of air considering the amount of noise it generates.

The lifetime warranty is a big plus on the Landice, it even covers wear and tear items and you can transfer it to your spouse or kids. Buyers should be aware that Landice will not honor the warranty for on-line purchases. I understand wanting to protect dealer territories but it is 2011.

If I could do 4.5 stars I would. Other than minor gripes regarding the noisy fan and the cost/feature ratio of the Exec display this is a 5 star unit that will last you a lifetime.

Customer support is awesome. Display was getting dim and the whole front panel was replaced under warrenty.

Using this beast, i managed to reduce my marathon time by an hour!

Only drawback noticed is, room for Water Bottle or TV remotes is not much. Unless you are careful, they may drop out while you are using the TM.

Comment:
I've had this model for almost three years, I use it three to five days per week, and still absolutely LOVE it. After about 18 months I had a problem when two of the cushioning discs below the deck broke. This is where the lifetime warranty kicked in and I am completely satisfied with [...] my local dealer. The worn cushioning discs were replaced with heavy-duty ones that are used on the Landice commercial machine. I would highly recommend this treadmill to anyone.
