Comment:
After 1 year and a shop visit to fix everything, it only ran two times at the beginning of the second year of ownership. Very hard starting machine, even when new, now it won't start at all. I've used macs, poulons, sears brands as well as two stihls. This is, by far, the worst machine I've ever owned. I'm 68 so that's saying something. I've tried contacting the company, but, no resonse. Stay away from this machine.

Used on small trees and firewood. Died with damaged cylinder. Replaced with larger Stihl model which dies after 6 months with scored bore.
Will never buy another Stihl

Auto-oiler Leaks Oil
Bar Comes Loose
Best Uses

Comment:
I cut a lot of downed timber out of a number of roads (lodgepole and Douglas fir). The saw is lightweight and easy to start, but lacks power and bogs down almost imediately if you try to use the bucking bar.
The auto chain oiler leaks beginning the minute you put oil in it and keeps it up until it is empty. The oil is either in the case, on the garage floor or in your truck. Either way it's a mess. I have also had problems with the bar coming loose.
