Comment:
I have owned a number of cordless drills/drivers. This Best Buy drill/driver is almost perfect for my many uses. The only downside of this cordless models is that the battery does not last forever like a corded model. The convenience of the cordless, out weights the length of use problem. In defense of the Porter-Cable, all cordless hand tools suffer from this problem.

Comment:
Used for a variety of purposes - mostly light to mod. drilling and driving of scrrews. This model seems to have a problem with the NiCad charger. I've now had two blow up (internally). The first exploded with a loud bang upon plugging the charger into the wall. The wall receptacle was a GFCI, which did not trip, but the charger was no longer functional. The unit was only a month old, so I was able to return it to the store I bought it from for a replacement. The new unit has worked OK now for a year, but the second also exploded yesterday under exactly the same conditions as the first, w/o tripping the GFCI.

The drill itself has performed well under a multitude of conditions, and (normally) the batteries charge quickly and provided long life under use.
