Weak construction, cheaply made
Starts and runs fine
Cheaply made
Cuts Unevenly
Frequently loses traction
Frequent parts breaking
Requires Constant Maintenance
Best Uses
Small VERY even lawns
Mowing deck, even though it has casters (adjusted to the maximum height) still scalps lawn on turns and uneven terrain. Constructed of lots of cheap parts, (kotter pins, washers, plastic in general). No real engine issues, just cheap chassie and manufacturing in general (hood is plastic??). 20 hp. B & S engine seems sufficient, but cheap tires (Carlisle) seem to get trapped frequently. Tractor would be fine for mowing a baseball or football field. Doesn't adapt or hold up well in real world conditions (N.H.). Don't be fooled by the name, it's not your Dad's Arien's tractor. Already looking for a replacement plan to spend closer to 2 or 3K.

Poor Durability and Poor Dealer Service
Good size engine
High seat back
Delays getting parts
Poor manufacturer support
Poor quality parts
Unreliable dealer network
Best Uses
Small Lawns
I bought this product and used it for just under a year. In the first month, the washout port broke off under normal usage. After 11 months of normal usage, the blade shaft assembly broke off. Finding a local dealer to service the mower was very difficult. All except one was backlogged for a least a month and several had no means to transport my mower to the dealer. All were independent dealers that generally give priority to customers that purchased from them. After waiting two weeks to have a dealer pick up my mower, then waited another week while the dealer let it sit in the lot before determining what needed to be done, and then 3 weeks waiting for my back ordered parts to be delivered, I received it back, partially fixed. In addition, the broken blade shaft assembly was deemed to be broken due to misuse, they claimed, because the blade was bent. The blade indeed did bend when the shaft broke and the unattached blade was hurled into the mower deck at full speed. I have only hit small sticks around the yard, which any durable mower would have no issue with.

Unless you have a backup mower, given a six-week turnaround for maintenance, and a manufacturer that won't stand behind their product, don't buy this product. Seven weeks after my Ariens mower broke, during which I have resorted to push mowing my 3 acres of lawn several times, I am now happy to have a John Deere sitting in my shed.
