Side discharging:
A combination of evenness, which is how close the tractor or rider came to even, carpet-like mowing, and how evenly clippings were dispersed from the side-discharge chute.

Mulching:
Reflects a combination of evenness, which is how close the tractor or rider came to even, carpet-like mowing, and how completely the mower distributed its clippings over the lawn's surface.

Bagging:
Denotes a combination of evenness, which is how close the tractor or rider came to even, carpet-like mowing, and a measurement of the effective capacity of the grass bag, determined when the bag was full or when the chute clogged and stopped collecting clippings.
About This Brand

Craftsman is one of the market leaders in lawn mower and tractor sales. Most of the models in the Craftsman line are made by Husqvarna. Craftsman lawn tractors run the price spectrum from gear-drive models priced at about $1,000 to fully-featured hydrostatic drive units that cost more than $2,000. Most Craftsman lawn tractors feature Briggs & Stratton engines, and the 42-inch-deck models are among the most popular. The majority of Craftsman lawn mowers are gas powered, but the company offers a corded electric and an electric rechargeable model. Most models feature either a Honda or Briggs & Stratton engine and have side-discharge, rear-bag, and mulching modes. Craftsman also markets a line of garden tractors and zero-turn riders. Craftsman products are sold at Sears, Kmart, and online at Sears.com.

What a hunk of utter garbage

Destroying Money
Comment:
I've now owned this hunk of garbage for 25 months. I know this for a fact because at 13 month the steering gear chewed up all of the loose electrical wiring that was just hanging there. It was a month out of warranty so they refused to service it for free. Now at 25 months the engine has blown a valve (yes I changed the oil and used the correct gasoline). Don't waste your money and don't believe Consumer Reports rating, this thing is a complete waste of money.

Comment:
Used the LT 2000 on my personal yard, and 2 years commercial. I have used it like a bush hog at times, but she still hangs in there. The anti- backfire device under carb bowl is junk; however, easily changed with plug. Also, a fuel shut off would be a great addition. Other than those 2 things, just check deck for cut height, and perform regular maintenance. She will last forever.

Comment:
this machine is much better than the yard man I had for the past 9 years, and yes the Taxes were 70% of the price here in Brazil but is worth it,since I do not have to hire this work done, the Tuff touq hydo is very smooth, and works well on hills, Was happy to see Craftsman here , and is priced well here, for this type of machine,
