Comment:
Bought in summer 2009, now 8/2013, 118 hrs. on meter.
I mow my lawn, fencelines, short growth pastures for a total of up to 3 acres per outing. Only maintenance problem was battery not starting after 2 years of use; bought new one from local retail store-no more problems. The trans shifter sticks a little, it doesn't always seat itself in the forward or reverse position so I give it a little extra tap to seat it. So warts and all, we really are glad we bought this mower. I tend to kill machinery but this one is a tough little guy. I own 20+ acres and use tractors and other heavy equipment, so I know what is doing the job and what doesn't. It is a true best buy for my money.

Comment:
I was excited for this mower, my first rider. It was delivered and then it rained for two days. Finally the weekend was here, grass was dry, and company was coming. Time to break out the new mower!
NO DICE.
Started fine, although very loud. Smoked quite a bit despite my fresh gas.
Engine stalled every time I attempted to engage the blades. Removed the deck to install mulching blades which required a trip to the hardware store since I didnt own a breaker bar. I thought that maybe some WD-40 and new blades would do the trick.
NO DICE.
This mower is being picked up today. Cub Cadet Customer Service was not supportive. Neither was the support at the big box hardware store I made my purchase at.
Will not buy this brand again.
