Comment:
I have about 3/4 and acre to cut. I purchased a Pony Troybuilt and it was so bad the first year that it was replaced with a Bronco up grade The Bronco ran great for the season but this one too did not last even a year. It stopped running with no warning. It just requires a lot of maintence, have had two TroyBuilts and both became a maintence nightmare!Buyer Beware.

Comment:
Good American made lawn tractor. Easily mows down 8 inch high weeds and thick grass. Very strong motor! Easy to disconnect wire that prevents reverse mowing. Easy on fuel. Deck height is limited, wish it would raise a bit more. No clumping issues. Good turning radius! The battery looks cheap, will have to watch that. After 12 mowings, I am pleased. The Pony is also a good machine for smaller lawns <2 acres.

I would not even recommend this to an enemy. The only positive is that a metal hood. I have had this machine for about three years. At purchase I made it very clear that I wanted a machine that was capable of cutting varied land. Was told it would mow 15 degrees but even a 10 degree slope is out of the question. I had a JD for 20 years that had no problem mowing anywhere ( should have purchesed another JD. Deck adjustment does not adjust! The blades are flimsy and unequal to the job. All the grease caps on tires have come off in normal use and have been replaced. The front tires use a cotten pin which is good buy you need pin pliers to remove that back tires, a tool that cost about $20 and most people do not have in their tool box. Battery replaced year 1. Contacted Troy Bilt with no response on 2 occasions with NO response! I am now, once again, in the market for a mower recommended by Consumer Reports, something that I should have done prior to buying! This is the worst machine I have ever purchased, PERIOD!!
