bought from lowes in spring of 2010, used about every two weeks since with no problems or any maintenance.

Mower was selected because I did not want hassle or upkeep costs of gas mower, and because I felt that I could more easily fix it if ever needed...electric mowers are quite simple to repair when compared to gas mowers (idea is lower cost of ownership).

My lawn is between 1/3-1/2 acre; a single charge will mow everything as long as lawn is not wet or high. I've never had the mower die on me before finishing. I usually only mow part of the lawn at a time (because I am lazy and georgia is hot). I always use the bag, and generally dump 3 times. Recharge time is quick, though I've never had to stop to recharge.

The mower is very quiet, neighbors don't hear it at all.

I tend to use the mower as a lawn vacuum in addition to actually mowing the grass...the mower has no problem cutting through all sorts of pine cones and small sticks, but throws or leaves some pieces behind.

I only have pine trees, but the mower does a decent job picking up needles.

mower has adjustable deck height, the higher settings allow more debris to be thrown from the underside of the mower.

I previously used a similiar B&D electric that was corded...it was a hand-me-down, and was quickly replaced with the CM1836.

has fob-like safety key that is used to start the mower, it must be attached before you can press the button to start the mower.

Though I wish it had greater suction power to pick up all of the pinecone debris (not that mowers are intended to chop and pickup pine cones), it does everything that I expect or require.

I'd buy it again.

Comment:
If you use a Wheel Setting of 3 or less you will find it difficult to mow a well established yard. If you mow at a 4 wheel setting are higher you should be ok. Mower is lightweight, just not made for 2 plus Acres. I have 2.6 Acres and it takes about 12 to 15 hours to mow it using a 4 wheel setting or higher. Batteries do charge up quickly to roughly 80% using the Fast Charger. Also, be sure to note the CM push model 36 Volt battery is not interchangeable with the SP Self Propelled 36 Volt Model. I was really surprised by that and that information came directly from Black and Decker.

Comment:
I bought this mower in February 2011 and began using it here on the east coast in April/May 2011. Used it for the season always stored in the garage. This season 2012 i charged the mower for the first use. It only lasted 25 minutes. Charged it overnight and the naxt day it lasted only 10 minutes. I sent B&D an email and never heard back from them. [@] gave me a store credit for the full amount of my purchase. Thank goodness. By the way the mower would bog down in thick grass. The one beneift was how quiet it was I could cut the grass without disturbing the neighbors. I live in a city setting and dont really have much in the way of a lawn so i was very disappointed this mower didnt hold up.
