Comment:
This mower was purchased to trim around a few trees, and along a shallow ditch where my zero turn mower did not fit. The mower was purchased in Sept of 2012 and used for a couple of months in 2012 and all of the 2013 mowing season without any problems. Each year the battery was stored in the basement to prevent exposure to cold/freezing temps. This year when I put the battery in the mower the best charge I could obtain was 75%. Now at the end of June (only used the mower 5 times this year) the mower won't run.

Based on numerous online reviews at other sites I suspect the battery is shot. The charger was placed on a timer so it never charged to mower for more then 16 hours per the user manual. Batteries that last less then 24 months should earn this mower an unacceptable rating from CR. To make matters even worse Homelite does not appear to carry replacement batteries on their website. In fact they don't even show this model number (UT13126)when you search the parts site.

I would not recommend this product to a friend or enemy!!!

Comment:
I've had this mower for two years now and it has performed well for me. I've had no problems with the battery, perhaps because I followed the charging instructions. That battery is heavy, of course, so it requires some oomph to push it up inclines or lift it over the garage door step. But it's lighter than a gas mower.
