I thought I did my homework on this mower. only in my second season. the mower surges all the time found out Briggs & Stratton motors are notorious for this. it floods all the time. Contacted the store where I bought it. They said they would fix it. Contacted a dealer told them what the problem was they said that was not covered under warranty. Why should I be surprised this mower has a two-year warranty and I have a problem which is not covered.the only reason I gave this mower 2 stars because I got at least one season out of it. Probably will buy a new one next season

Bought first one 4/7. About 5/26 or 27 neither the electric start nor the pull start would work. Returned to Lowe's who sent it to be repaired. They destroyed it and Lowe's gave me a new one (same model). Self-propelled mechanism works as a brake instead. Battery covering came off (as it did on the first one. Clean-out port worked first time, but not the second time. Don't know problem. I'm 62 YO female without relatives close. It's not easy for me to keep trucking these mowers back and forth. I hope to get my money back to buy another brand.

Comment:
I purchased this TB about a year ago. Since then it's been in the shop three times (all fuel problems). Apparently there is Ethinol in our gas and (depending what engine you get), you may have problems with it. Mine runs well for two three months, then it dies and won't run at all. Returned to Lowes who sends it to some place for warranty work and I get it back in a week and it runs but I never know what they did to repair it. I wanted my money back but Lowes says no.. Called TB but you get referred to the Engine brand you have (Briggs and Stratton for me) and the guy at Briggs says it's a fuel problem and it's not under warranty. He give me the names of two repair shops in my area and I call them and they also tell me it's a fuel problem and they can fix it but not under warranty. I never had so many problems with a gas powered lawn mower.. I may go back to electric...
