I bought a Troy-built riding lawn mower 3 years ago and this is been the biggest piece of junk i ever bought! Since I bought this mower it was burnt the wiring so they replaced it then the mower deck drive spindle bearing, we replaced that, and now the transmission went. A total of over $800.00. I went to the county land fill and someone was junking out a newer Troy-built riding lawn mover and I said that looks to new to junk and also that transmission went out and they said they wanted $775.00 to replace. They said they were going to put the money towards a better a lawn mower. These machine are throw away machine said a lawn mower dealer! For me luckily I got a extended 2 year warranty. Have had mower for 18 months. Always start with one pull (no priming). Plenty of power. Only minor negative is some grass clippings remain in mechanism where bag clips to frame.

I want to let you know from the start that I mulch my grass almost all the time. I had a John Deere mower before this one and liked it a lot. I was looking at this one in the store and wasn't sure such a small mower would do what I want. I didn't weigh it, but the JD seemed to be about 40% heavier than this one.
Anyway, I got it home and was immediately impressed with the finished grass. The cut was very even and mulch not clumped at all. The mower is surprisingly easy to handle, and I like that the deck is wider than the wheels, so you can mow right up to fences and sidewalks.
It starts on the first pull almost every time (even the first time in the spring) and I had to bag the grass only once, when we had a rainy spell and the grass got really long. During the bagging, there were a few issues of grass clumping under the deck and clogging the chute, but I'll attribute that to the long grass.
Oh, this mower does require that you use your right hand to work the propulsion, but it's not tricky at all to use.
