During fall raking season I found the vacuum to get clogged every minute. Specifically the narrow chute between the blades and the bag would get completely stuffed with shredded leaves. Every time this happened, I had to pull off the big intake tube and extricate the clog with my fingers, which is a royal pain. It must be a poor design because my old B&D blower/vacuum (BV1500) seems to have the same diameter chute and rarely clogs. In fact I used the two machines on the same day and the old one didn't clog. The leaves were not wet. I bought the unit because the old one was pretty good, and can't understand how a good company can have such a drop in quality. Also, the bag is 1.5 bushels instead of my old unit which was 2.5, but I should've read the box more carefully too see that. If only the box had said that the vacuum constantly clogs. I decided to replace my old unit because the safety catch wore out, causing the motor to think the tube was disconnected so it turned off a lot. I suppose these things have a 3-4 year lifespan at best, even the good ones.<br /><br />For leaf blowing I didn't get great performance but that might be because my grass was pretty long. At least it worked.

Although this unit can perform multiple tasks, I use it only for blowing. For that, it meets my expectations. It's quite powerful and can blow with ease. Highly recommend this blower.
This blower is excellent for getting all the cut grass off your driveway, blowing the debris out of our garage, and mulching up fallen leaves. I've used it for all these tasks with ease. It's light weight as well, so you won't get tired using it for long periods of time. Highly recommended!
I purchased this unit a Kmart during a clearance sale and got it for a very good price. I didn't know what to expect at first but I am quite happy with my purchase. It is very strong and works great for uses. I purchased it primarily to blow out my garage and avoid the fumes from my gas powered blower.
