Comment:
I have bought this blower from Lowe's about a month ago, I was immediately impressed with how comfortable and how powerful it was. After using it 5-6 times, about an hour and a half each, it developed a loud rattle. When it started rattling the RPM went down, and it died. After three episodes, I took it back to Lowe's. It was purchased 20 days prior; so they exchanged with another brand new one. Now with the new one, after 2 weeks and using twice, I can hear the rattle again. RPM goes down. It sounds like metal marbles in the blower. Regretfully, I will need to take it back again. I have used only 93 octane gas, along with ethanol and STA-BIL, Fuel Stabilizer treatments as recommended by the sales person. The gas used has been fresh. When I search for rattling and 150BT Husqvarna on the internet, I see many people are having the same problem.

It would be helpful for consumer reports to publish the reliability records of the blowers along with the ratings of powerful blowers including BR 600 Stihl Magnum, Echo PB-770T, Redmax EBZ8500, Shindaiwa EB854.

As a homeowner with a heavily wooded yard for the last 10 years, I was amazed that I have not figured about these powerful blower earlier. Now I have to start all over again.

--KC

Comment:
I have an acre lot in Maine and we get a lot of leaves, pine needles and acorns. This blower moves all of them into a nice pile. It even blows twigs. This really cleans well and lifts the grass so it gets a nice cut for the winter and I bag any extra remaining materials. I had a very nice blower with 170 MPH but it could not move big piles of leaves without doing it in layers. The Husqvarna just moves them period. I blow them onto a large tarp and carry them into the woods for compost. At age 59 it has eased my work load and saved time to spend with my grandson and puppy. About an hour and I am finished. I had a difficult time getting it started at first. Now that I am doing it right it starts up quickly. If you are willing to spend a little more it really has been a great investment.
