Comment:
I've had the Ultra for about three years, but it has received only light, occasional use: leaves in the fall, Maple seed pods in the spring, and sometimes cleaning up grass clippings after mowing. I use it with a 100 ft., 12 gauge cord, and so far, at least, no electrical problems. I am surprised to learn, really, that so many buyers have had such problems. If I had read all the negative reviews posted here first, I very likely would not have made the purchase.

This is a large, rather bulky machine that is best used with two hands. Once you get the hang of it, it is easy to use. More effective, in my experience, as a blower than as a vacuum, but the vacuum setup is useful enough, and the metal impeller does a good job of mulching (particularly seed pods).

I wish I understood better why so many have had motor burnout problems, but aside from the amp rating of the extension cord, I have nothing further to add. It is a good appliance, well constructed, and it should give good service if used properly.

Comment:
Ran for about 15 hours. Only used to blow leaves. Motor burnt out at about 15 hours of use. Hope that Toro will replace as others have had the same problem. Purchased from a large retail store.
