I have the Platinum 30 with 342cc B&S Polar Force engine. Got to realy use it for the first time last weekend with 30+ of snow here in Bridgeport CT. After doing the sidewalk for the entire block I went back and did the driveway entrances. Wind packed snow and drifts never stopped it and it was throwing snow close to 50 feet (the width of most of the yards). Took on a 5' drift, the engine got muffled out from the snow but this thing kept shooting snow in the air and came out the other side with a few nieghbors now vowing to get one. Ended up with many bottles of cheer and a plate of brownies from the new friends on the street. Four days later did a driveway 40X250' which was now wet heavy snow. First pass required some effort but once the first cut was made it was like butter. I would highly recommend this blower to anyone looking to get one and best of all, Made In The USA!

Comment:
Loud? Yes, because it has a powerful engine.
Heavy? Somewhat, but you need a solid machine to move the dense snow.
Easy to start? Sure is, by the hand pull or electric option.
Clears even? Yes, right down to the pavement.
Throws snow far? Real world results are 12+ feet without the help of wind.

Heated grips work extremely well.

Power steering!

Long drivetrain warranty!

You get what you pay for and I'm looking forward to the next big snow fall.

Comment:
I searched for a snowblower with a large impeller to throw the snow- this is it. I also wanted a large engine with a small body for lots of power and easy to maneuver- this fits the bill. I have a double wide driveway with 150 to 200 inches of snow yearly and want to move the snow far from the driveway- this will easily throw snow 30 to 40 feet no matter how heavy the snow- in fact the heavier the snow- the farther it tosses the snow. Price is somewhat high, but high quality shops carry and service it. I bought the electric start(not needed), differential for easy turning, hand warmer(super idea), and all controls on the control bar- just great. I'm in my 3rd winter and my son has the same with the wide front(28)-I have a 24 and it's easy to store. I want to buy American, and this is it.
