Comment:
I have had my Honda HS724TC blower for 10 years and have only replaced 2 shear pins (a brick got in the auger) and annual oil changes.
I do my laneway and those of 4 other neighbours. I am from London, Ontario Canada where we get some real tough snows.
The track drive gives the power to push to go through the heavy snow at the end of the laneway from the snow plows (without spinning wheels)
The track drive also allows me to easily walk up the steps on my deck so I can clear off my back door entrance.
With the track drive and height adjustments I can raise the auger an inch above the ground so I can plow a dog run without digging up my back lawn.
Cons: It was more costly more but before the Honda, I used to have to replace my blowers every 3 years. Pay me now or pay me later.
Pros: I love the hydrostatic drive, I can reverse the unit without changing gears (just pull on drive leaver)
The electric chute control is great and can be used by controlling the joystick control.
The electric start always works and the engine starts first time no matter how cold it gets.
In really deep snows I can drive up on the snow with the track drive and plow it in two levels. Couldn't do that with wheel drive even with chains.
I don't know why you didn't test the track drive. It makes a world of difference.
I only bought the 24 model because my gates to the yard are about 29 wide.

Comment:
Used over 4yrs. on large (6 car) driveway in the Tahoe snow.
Forget the electric starter it's just something to fail.
Only time it doesn't start on the first pull is when I forget to turn on the ignition or gas. Reliability & performance are outstanding.
Go for the tracks, skip the wheels.
Handles 18 in. deep snow in one pass.
People who live in Tahoe know how to deal with snow, Honda

Comment:
I use it for home snow removal. It picks up everything and does a great job on ice packed snow. Have it for 20 years now and only had to replace skid plates. No rust and has a strong quality engine.
