I have a Snapper M1529E with a 14.5 hp Briggs engine. The snowblower is very strong and clears a large (40' x 60') driveway and two walkways in under an hour. The connecticut snow is no match for this machine. Wet snow hasn't been a problem either. This unit has two push button chute controls that are easy to operate. I highly recommend this brand and model. The only negative things I can say about it is its weight; it's a little hard to turn corners, and the two reverse speeds are slow and slower.

Snappers are the best. I had a small single stage when I lived down state in Michigan and it was great. When I moved North I gave up on my little buddy because of the amount of snow and the area I had to clear. I bought a 30 Crapsman. It was good for a couple of years but nothing Crapsman builds is made to last any longer. After several years of daily repairs to keep it running it broke on me one last time. I went out the next day and bought my new snapper and have been smiling ever since! It runs like a bull and throws snow like crazy. The only knock I have on it is the light placement. It should be centered and possibly built into the bracket between the handles. It hangs off a side and I have almost ripped it off a couple times already. It is noisy too but what snowthrower isn't?
