Comment:
Although there is basic assembly required I found that to be fairly easy in the mail part except for attachment of the snow thrower chute due to a very poor diagram and unclear instructions. The machine came with oil already added so it just needed gasoline. The machine starts first pull of the rope and even easier with the electric start. I would have liked to have a headlight for early morning operation in winter but since there is none I used a LED bike front lamp for illumination for $15. This machine is easy enough for my wife to use as it is very maneuverable and responsive. So far I thoroughly recommend this Troy Bilt snow thrower.

Comment:
I have owned this reasonably priced model for about 2.5 years and the engine through a piston. I take good care of my equipment and I remember my father getting 17 years out of his snowblower. Engine repairs will cost me around $180 (doing the work myself) or almost $400 for a new engine. I'm very disappointed with this product.

Very good for sidewalks where you can keep the chute control in one position. However, shifting the chute control will cause it to fail.
