Comment:
The GH2000 lived up to its claims regarding power and handling in terms of trimming and edging, but releasing the spool to get more line was extremely difficult. The first time it took 10 minutes. The second time I couldn't get it to release. I took it back to Lowes. The release mechanism is the problem because the catches on either side of the spool cylinder which have to be pressed in are too stiff. Many have reported that the spool cylinder broke on them, and I suspect that's why. Buyer beware.

Comment:
I absolutely loved this trimmer...until not one but TWO bump plates broke. The even larger frustration was in trying to get them replaced. I ordered the first replacement online through Black & Decker but was sent the wrong part. I tried to get the second replacement through Lowe's but they could get no help from B&D either. Does B&D care about their products? Doesn't look like it.

If your desire is to be depressed, then buy this product. If you want to trim and edge your lawn, buy a rabbit before buying this edger. Was determined to trim and edge yard before a yard party. End result, I went thru 40 ft of .080 line, and completed half the project. The feeder doesn't work at all. I bought it loaded with trimmer line, but when line shortened, I could only lengthen it by removing the spool, each and every time......Black and Decker surely has some openings for an engineer.
