I was skeptical about this product. I chose it because the top rated trimmers had terrible reviews. I purchased it for $138 at Walmart. I have only had it one day. I was able to nearly trim my entire yard. I estimate I trimmed about 600 ft before the battery died. It lasted about 30-40 minutes. I would have finished had I not edged my driveway. I found it best to leave the edge guide extended because it let me know how close to get to objects. I had the feeling there wasn't enough line extended but when I stopped to look it was about an inch away from the line cutter. I estimate the first thing to wear out will be the line housing. It doesn't seem to be heavy duty and it is impossible to keep it off the ground if the line is not fully extended. I liked the variable speed control and tried using a lower setting to conserve battery life. It was easy to adjust to my height. The head swivels for edging. I was surprised it lasted so long. It was a pleasure not pulling a drop cord or pulling a cord or mixing fuel. I didn't think the review matched the product. My battery is 40V so they must have upgraded it. It only took an hour to recharge. Only time will tell about the durability.

I have a small yard. I make short work of trimming and edging my lawn. The trimmer easily adjusts. I was surprised how well edging works... just rotate the shaft, flip down the guide and your done.

I used to have a big heavy gas trimmer and edger. I hated using it. It was loud, heavy, a pain to maintain, and didn't work half as well as this model. I actually enjoy using this trimmer edger. As a result, my lawn has never been as well trimmed and edged.

I'm very pleased with my Black & Decker LST136 trimmer. It was very easy to assemble and the handle adjustment was simple. The trigger is easy to use and does not require constant pressure. The weight, balance and handles all make it easy to use comfortably and safely. It's ideal for my 1/4-acre suburban lot and I've never come close to running out of battery power. I don't know how long a the string lasts because in my second mowing season I'm still on the first spool. I highly recommend this product.
