I love this trimmer. This is the second Black and Decker trimmer I've owned and I can't say enough good about it. I bought it at Home Depot on clearance and the replacement battery for it is only $19.00. I wish the string was cheaper for it and it's heavier then my old 12 volt trimmer and the new 18 volt trimmer so take that in to account when purchasing one. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead od 5 is the trimmer string is expensive for it.

I have a 50X110 lot, I edge 2 trees, my fence, and foundation. I mow in about 15 minutes, but it takes me 45 minutes to trim due to the lack of power, and needing to use 3 batteries per trim. <br />My first 3 months the string dispenser broke because its all made of plastic. By the end of the summer I was needing 2 full batteries to trim.

Have owned trimmer over a year.Battery life after 9 hour charge has dwindled down to 15-20 minutes of trimming time!! Looks like the life of the battery pack is about 1 year..
