Expected more durability from more expensive trimmer--not the case;over 4 yrs. it never ran well- and engine now needs replacing which is cost prohibitive. Used nothing but husqvarna oil and mixed according to manual. My previous cheap homelite model lasted me 15 years & is still running, but I can no longer get parts & it is too lightweight for extensive trimming.Best thing I can say about the 128ld is that the Husqvarna string line is very durable.

I mostly use this trimmer to edge our half acre corner lot. It does a great job with that. The fact that the head swivels is very helpful. It also came with the edger attachment, which I have also used and that is very useful as well.
The only reason I did not rate it higher was due to problems I have with the fuel supply. A previous poster mentioned this. Unless I have at least three quarters of the tank full, the machine simply will not start. Once it starts, it will run fine but this design flaw keeps me from rating it higher or recommending it to others for purchase.

Jack of everything, master of nothing
Difficult to handle
Best Uses
Upper Body Workout
This trimmer started up fine and has plenty of power as a trimmer. However, when it comes to the attachments the same cannot be said.

This trimmer weights 13lbs, ~3lbs more than most other trimmers. When you add the tiller attachment, it becomes pretty unwieldy. Great if you're looking to get a ripped upper body though. It also doesn't have enough power to even till a few inches deep. You're better off getting a dedicated trimmer that weighs less, and dedicated attachments that have more power and are easier to use.

I took it back to the store after using it just twice.
