Comment:
Have purchased three of these as well as the store's extended warranty each time--thank goodness. However, the Troy does not last. The carburetor cracks, leaking fuel and making starting difficult. The latest replacement lasted just one use. When I return this one, I am switching to a different brand.

Comment:
Bought the Troybilt after I retired my Echo after 15 years (zero problems). Decided to spend less this time. Bought one Troybilt, finally got it started, died after 10 minutes and could never restart it. Took it back, got another, same thing identically. I've wasted more gasoline taking these back to the point I could have and should have bought the Echo. Never again.

Cons

Comment:
I have owned four of the TB32EC. I get them because of the user accessories (blower, edger, string trimmer and roto-tiller heads). It is powerful and easy starting. But it just does not last. The first two had cracked rings and failed. Yes, I was using the recommended 40:1 oil ratio, sometimes adding a little extra oil to the mix. The third one failed due to the 0-ring seal on the cylinder head failed, it blew out. Yes, I could repair it but I needed it now, not after getting parts a week later. I note in the five or so years, the price has gone from about $60 plus to $129. I like the electric starter attachment and have used it. The newer units start easier, they have better adjusted carbs installed. I do not use it industrially, just around my yard.
