Honda Civic Overview

Honda's popular compact has a comfortable ride, relatively responsive handling, good braking, and a nice, quiet interior. The EX version has automatic climate control, which is nice to have, and all versions come with a standard backup camera. The powertrain remains smooth and unobtrusive. A well-adapted continuously variable transmission (CVT) has replaced the five-speed automatic. Fuel economy ranges from 30 mpg overall for the EX and 32 mpg for the HF to an impressive 40 mpg for the hybrid, which uses a 1.5-liter, four-cylinder and CVT. Rear seating is fairly spacious for this class. The sporty Si can be noisy inside but it's fun and quick and its manual gearbox has a good, crisp, shift feel.
