Technical Service Bulletins
Below, we highlight several key 'hidden' protections you may not be aware of, discovered through service campaigns and technical service bulletins. TSBs highlight common potential problems with models and provide corrective measures to dealerships. The items flagged below are of particular note, indicating a potential risk, and a potential correction, should you experience the specific issue. In some cases, an extended warranty may offer additional protection for a particular at-risk component.

Jaguar s-Type

2004-08

There are three recalls and two service campaigns of note:

2004-05 V6 models have a service campaign to replace the coolant pump outlet hose because it could possibly burst (S518).

2004-06 models have a service campaign to replace the remote key fob since it could become inoperative through static electricity contact (S527).

2005 models were recalled to replace the fuel tank (R176V4NAS).

2006 models were recalled to inspect/replace the parking pawl guide plate in transmission because a manufacturing defect could cause the park setting to not engage when the shifter is in the ‘P’ position (7-31NAS).

2007 models were recalled to replace the fuel tank (R177).
