Facebook fans, expect some big changes soon. Its Timeline feature, first announced at the company's F8 developers conference last September, will soon become the default interface for all of its millions of members.

Timeline organizes your Wall posts and other online activities into chronological order, with the goal of making it easier for friends to see your most recent virtual moments and recall long-past events as well. Personal photos will also play a prominent role in the new Facebook look.

And while the Facebook Timeline interface has been optional since last month, "over the next few weeks, everyone will get timeline," said the official blog post.

While some opponents have voiced privacy concerns over the new interface, Facebook says all users get a seven-day review period before their personal pages are automatically switched over to the new format. During that time, you can choose to add or remove specific elements and set permission levels—who gets to see and read which posts, for example.

To learn more about Timeline and how to set your Facebook privacy controls, the blog recommends users should visit www.facebook.com/about/timeline.
