Sweat the small stuff!
Even the teeniest of treats can be diet killers

Since people buy more candy around Halloween than at any other time of the year, you may notice store shelves filled with goodies you don’t see very often, including some candy that you enjoyed as a kid. If you use these sweets as a seasonal replacement for your usual snacks, how many can you eat without overdoing it? To find out, we checked how these candies would stack up if they came in 100-calorie snack packs, as chips, cookies, and crackers do.

Size often dictates how many you can consume, which makes perfect sense. Although you can eat far fewer Twizzlers than Jujubes for 100 calories, those treats are about 8 inches long, and each Jujube is roughly the size of a large peppercorn. Sometimes ingredients, not size, dictate calorie count. You can eat many more Good & Plenty treats than Hot Tamales, for example, although they’re roughly the same size. And who would’ve thought good old Mary Janes were so darn fattening?
