These are some of the claims used to hawk various products—often through infomercials, those omnipresent program-length ads that run at all hours of the day and night. In recent years, Consumer Reports has tested some of these "as seen on TV" products to find out which ones live up to their hype and which ones are really nothing more than entertainment for insomniacs.
