Hemorrhoids

How common are hemorrhoids?
Hemorrhoids are common. Lots of people have trouble with them at some time in their life.
We couldn't find much information to tell us exactly how common hemorrhoids are. Many people don't see a doctor when they
get them, so it's hard to know.
At any one time, about 10 million people in the United States have hemorrhoids.
1 That's about 1 in 20 people.
