Bun & Thigh Doer $300

Recently discontinued but may be available at some retailers, manufacturer says.

What it is. Exerciser that focuses on small muscles of the inner, outer, and back thighs but can also work arm muscles. Comes with color-coded resistance bands for legs or arms, in three levels of difficulty, and workout video.

The claims. The latest breakthrough in reducing, shaping, and firming. Targets specific muscles to boost your metabolism. Slimmer thighs and sexier buns.

The problem. One of the red (difficult) resistance bands unhooked itself from the frame during our initial evaluation of the product, striking our staffer on the upper thigh (see photo). We confirmed the design flaw on two other units. This happened during a leg exercise, but the same problem could occur with the arm bands, which have a similar attachment, and they might strike the face. Because of the risk of injury, we didn't proceed with testing. We don't recommend this device for anyone.
