Irregular heartbeat
Doctors call irregular heart beats arrhythmias. When your heart is beating very fast, you may feel a fluttering in your chest or even a rapid thumping. You may also feel this fluttering if you are anxious or if you've had damage to the nerves that control how fast your heart beats.
