Sinusitis and hay fever
If you have hay fever, you may get sinusitis, too. This is when the spaces in the bones around your nose (your sinuses) become inflamed.
When you have hay fever, your nose makes lots of mucus. This extra mucus can get trapped in your sinuses and get infected.
If you have sinusitis, you may have:1 2 3
- Thick, greenish mucus when you blow your nose
- Pain behind your nose and around your eyes
- Headaches
- A fever
- A cough
- A runny nose.
