How common are erection problems?
Erection problems are very common.

About 30 million men in the United States have a problem getting or keeping an erection.1 So about 1 in every 10 men have erection problems of some kind.

Men of any age can get this condition. But it's more common in men over 40.2

  • About 5 in 100 men age 40 get erection problems.
  • Between 15 and 25 in 100 men over age 65 get erection problems.
As people are living longer, erection problems are becoming more common. Also, more men may be seeing their doctor about erection problems now that good treatments are available.
